You fall in love with ideas more than you realize—the idea of something or someone; widely, truly, achingly beautiful to the arbitrary depths of one’s imagination. But then, the problem of falling in love with ideas is that you can’t touch it, you can’t hold it in the length of your arms and kiss it goodbye, you can’t see it or hear it or talk to it. And again, it would seem so real as you lay back your head and close your eyes, because there it is wide awake and beautiful. You can only feel it, it is there but it’s only ever there.
